Austin D. Skelton, Esq. is an employment and civil rights attorney that works at the Lacy Employment Law Firm out of the Philadelphia office alongside the owner, Andrew Lacy Jr., Esq. I'm licensed to practice law in both state and federal court in New Jersey and can also be admitted to practice law in any of the 41 UBE jurisdictions in the country. I work diligently for my clients to help them receive just compensation through severance negotiations, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission mediations, settlement conferences in federal court and jury trials.
Prior to devoting my practice to employees and victims of civil rights violations, I worked in Biglaw at Reed Smith LLP where I honed my litigation skillset by defending banks and financial institutions in state and federal court. I have extensive pro bono experience representing incarcerated individuals in § 1983 cases and volunteering my legal services for the Volunteer Lawyers for Justice.
Aside from my career as a lawyer, I'm also a Life Coach and completed a yearlong intensive and immersive coaching course created by McLaren Coaching. I'm in the process of becoming a certified professional coach licensed by the International Coaching Federation to expand my coaching practice and help my clients live the life they dream of.
In my free time, I enjoy serving on the Board of Trustees for New Jersey Orators and at my church, Cathedral International. I also love traveling, weightlifting, playing basketball, watching the New York Knicks, and spending quality time my friends, family and two cats, Chia and Moo Boo.
